Manchester United could scupper the club's chances of signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with a £70million bid for the striker
Arsene Wenger has just 90 minutes, or possibly 120 minutes plus penalties, to save his job as Arsenal manager, according to reports on Sunday. The Sunday Express have sensationally claimed Wenger will be 'invited' to leave his post at the Emirates should Hull City deliver an FA Cup knockout blow on Tuesday evening.
Any exit is unlikely to happen before the end of the season, but a third consecutive FA Cup certainly seems the most likely way of the Gunners winning silverware this season.
They are eight points behind Premier League leaders Leicester and face a two-goal deficit in their last-16 Champions League tie against Barcelona going back to the Nou Camp.
Arsenal are set to suffer a huge blow in their bid to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, report the Daily Mail.
Manchester United will reportedly blow the Gunners out of the water with a bumper, £70million bid for the forward.
Old Trafford chiefs are apparently determined to get their man over the summer, regardless of who their manager is at the start of next season.
Aubameyang is one of Europe's hottest properties and is under contract at the Westfalenstadion until 2020.
Arsene Wenger pointed an accusing finger at referee Michael Oliver after an explosive North London derby.
Arsenal boss Wenger was angry that the Northumberland official failed to show Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier a red card, having shown his own enforcer Francis Coquelin no mercy after his second bookable offence.
And the Frenchman called on the Premier League to force referees to attend post-match press conferences to explain their big decisions, writes Mirror Football's Simon Mullock.
“It was right that Francis was shown a red card,” said Wenger. “We have no complaints, because we warned him at half-time that he was on a yellow card and had to be careful. But why wasn’t Dier also sent off?
"Referees should come in the press conference after the game as well. We are questioned and they should be questioned as well.”
Toby Alderweireld and Harry Kane had put Tottenham ahead and on course to go top of the Premier League.
But Sanchez’s late goal gave Arsenal a share of the spoils even though Francis Coquelin was sent off for a second yellow card.
