Transfer News: Guardiola hijacks Chelsea, £74m Man Utd and Arsenal fight, Liverpool exit

Manchester City plan to beat Chelsea to the signing of Paul Pogba this summer, according to reports.
Spanish outlet Sport claim Pep Guardiola has made the France international his primary target for when he takes over at the Etihad.

Chelsea reportedly had a £70m bid turned down for Pogba last summer and Real Madrid are also monitoring the 23-year-old.
Guardiola has told City’s owners the midfielder is key to his plans for their future and competing in all competitions.
Manchester United will make a stunning £74m summer raid for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain.
The striker - who has been in great form for the Serie A side this season - is also wanted by Premier League duo Arsenal and Chelsea.
Jose Mourinho wants to sign a world class hitman if he takes over from Louis van Gaal at United in the summer, according to Football Insider.
Higuain has been consistent in front of goal scoring 29 goals in 30 Serie A appearances this campaign.
Watford are planning a summer swoop for Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen.
The Welsh midfielder has just over a year left on his current contract at Anfield.
Allen, 26, has not had any talks in recent months over a new deal. And the Reds may be willing to sell if Watford come up with a good offer.
Kop manager Jurgen Klopp does like Allen but is planning a summer of recruitment to get the Liverpool squad up to scratch.
